We believe in Jesus Christ as the second person of the Trinity the only begotten Son of God. Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and lived his life in complete obedience to the will of God. In his suffering and dying on the cross he gained forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God for all creation. In his rising from the dead he gained eternal life for all who believe. We are therefore given salvation not because we deserve it, or because of anything we have done to earn it, but solely as a free gift from God grasped by our faith in Christ.
